Dear Parent / Caregiver,

I'm sure you are seeking a quality education for your child, and I feel that we can be part of that process.

The staff at Rosehill Intermediate School are committed to achieving excellence, and feel confident that their emphasis on quality learning and teaching will equip your child well for secondary school.

Rosehill Intermediate School has unique characteristics and strengths that are particularly appropriate for meeting the needs of emerging adolescents. The focus of each programme acknowledges the special nature of the age group we work with.

This special nature includes a wish by students to be:
part of decision making processes
guided by people who know what they are talking about

Children of this age are capable of taking a leading role in their own learning; they are capable of making decisions, and weighing up consequences.

Rosehill Intermediate School also has a strong link with Rosehill College, and we are continuing to forge stronger ties so that there is a smooth transition from one to the other. We share similar views when it comes to expectations of students. Not the least of these is to have students make the most of learning opportunities, and also not impede others in their learning pursuits.

We want a safe and welcoming environment for students so that they will look forward to attending each day. We are particularly firm with any pupils who threaten the safety or enjoyment of others at Rosehill Intermediate.

We have expectations of pupils, and they are quite simply stated,

  • Get involved in learning opportunities
  • Encourage others in their educational pursuits
  • Always do the very best that they can

Yours sincerely,

Maria White.
Principal
